Just over a week ago my delayed flight touched down in Auckland, two days after my initial arrival date. After having my first flight cancelled and re arranged due to the snowy conditions in the UK.
I had a 7 hour lay over in Los Angles, where I was totally blessed to spend some time with a good friend whom i'd worked with before. We went to the beach and pier in Santa Monica and had the famous californian 'In and out' burger!
Arriving into sunny Tauranga greeted by some old friends and soon to be new ones, I felt right at home. Back on board the m/v Pacific Link my bunk was awaiting me and the unpacking began!
This school, we are just spending 2 weeks on board the ship before itself leaves for a tour of australia! (check out www.ywamships.org) All the DTS will then be packing up and moving to Gideons Heights, (www.gideonsheights.co.nz the new training centre will not be completed yet, but we will be in a older facility there. Its exciting that this school gets to be a part of this pioneering faith venture for the building of the ministry centre, that has been 20 years in the pipeline. Its so great to see Gods faithfulness in fulfilling His promises!
As we are about to enter the first week of lectures, I'm excited to see what God has in store for the 18 students from 10 different nations. We have had a time of sharing personal testimonies and life stories, which opened the way for God beginning to work powerfully in these young lives and bring them into a place of greater freedom. What a privileged position I am in to see this unfold!
A HUGE thank you to all that made it possible for me to get here, the adventure is just beginning!
